Sometimes you want shoppers to purchase a product only as a one-time purchase, without seeing any subscription plans. This guide shows exactly how to set that up inside FERMÀT.
By the end, you’ll be able to offer a simple, friction-free shopping experience that increases checkout clarity and improves conversion rates.
What’s in this guide
What is a One-Time-Purchase–Only PDP?
A one-time-purchase–only PDP means a product can only be bought one time, not through a subscription.
Customers visiting the page will see only the One-Time Purchase option, without delivery schedules or subscription discounts.
When to Use One-Time-Purchase–Only PDPs
This setup works best when:
The product is not meant for recurring use (e.g., accessories, apparel, home décor, gifts, etc.).
You want a cleaner, simpler checkout experience without subscription decisions.
You want to increase upfront conversions instead of recurring plans.
You want to avoid shopper confusion caused by mixed subscription & non-subscription options.
Removing subscription plans can help reduce choice overload and streamline the buying journey.
How to Set It Up in FERMÀT
You can remove subscription options in two ways:
Across the entire product (applies to all variants)
For specific variants only (gives you more granular control)
Remove Subscriptions for the Entire Product
Head to the Products page in your FERMÀT dashboard.
Choose the product you want to update.
On the right-hand panel click Settings, then go to Purchase Options & Pricing.
In the Variants tab, toggle OFF all subscription plans (e.g., “Deliver every month,” “Deliver every 2 months,” etc.).
Leave One-Time Purchase toggled ON.
Once all subscription plans are turned off, the PDP will automatically default to a one-time–purchase–only experience.
Remove Subscriptions for Specific Variants Only
If only certain variants should support subscription:
In the same panel, switch to the Variants tab.
Find the specific variant(s) you want to be one-time–purchase–only.
Toggle OFF the subscription plans for those variants.
Keep subscriptions enabled for other variants if needed.
This gives you precise merchandising control.
Once saved, the PDP will display a clean one-time purchase module to shoppers, without any subscription-related UI elements like delivery schedules, badges, or discounts.
