Customizing an existing Shop/Lander

This article will show you how to build and customize FERMAT Shops aka landing pages

Updated over a week ago

With FERMÀT you have the ability to add as many shops as you like. These shops are where a customer will start their FERMÀT journey when clicking through from an ad, email, or other campaign. You have full control over what is displayed and where, lets show you how to start building.

Where to edit Funnels

To begin, navigate to the funnels section of the side nav. This view is populated with all of your current shops. If this is your first time visiting the shop you can start by creating a new shop in the top right.

You can toggle between the grid view above and the list view. To edit a funnel simply click on the shop in either view. This will place you in the edit experience.

Customizing a Shop's layout

Once you have selected a shop you can get to the edit screen by clicking on the shop name or the pencil icon for the shop. This will bring you to the editor where you can rearrange modules and add new modules to the page.

Reorder the position of existing modules

To change the position of modules on your shop just grab the handles and drag it to the appropriate location on the page. You will see the preview adjust in realtime.

Add a new module to the page

To add new modules to your shop just click the add module button to be presented with a list of available modules.

We are constantly adding new modules based on customer feedback and based on what we discover in our CRO Laboratory, a team dedicated to optimizing performance for our brands and then productizing the results.

Adjusting Shop Settings

There are a few additional customizations that you can make to a shop from the settings tab above the module list. From here you can make adjustments to how discounts, subscriptions and more are displayed on products in this shop.

Adding custom discounts to a Shop

With FERMÀT you can apply discounts to products within a shop by connecting a Shopify discount code. This code can be used independently in FERMÀT so that you can experiment with different pricing options than you normally do on your site.

Use the Order Discounts setting to apply a discount code.

Once the code is added to FERMÀT and exists in Shopify the discount will be shown and automatically applied at checkout. You can see in the example above how the discount will shown on products.

You can also change this discount to show raw dollars off rather than a percentage using the Pricing Discounts and Display setting.

Changing discount display types

Within the Shop settings you can also control how discounts on products in this shop should be displayed. There are currently two options: percentage and dollar amount.

Select Pricing and Discount Display to open these options

When selecting dollar amount we take the percentage off coupon and display that discount in dollars for each product.

Here's what the difference looks like for your customers.

Set free shipping tiers

Each Shop you create can have its own unique free shipping threshold. You can set this up by navigating to the Free Shipping setting.

Make sure you have configured the code in Shopify with the same threshold you are going to be displaying in FERMÀT.

Once a shipping threshold amount has been added, customers will see a progress bar across the top of their bag with how much they still need to add.

🔥 Pro Tip: If you are highlighting a specific product in the shop, use a product upsell on the that products PDP so that the recommended product in the cart is enough to hit the threshold. This is a very effective way to boost AOV.

Set subscription options

The final setting we are going to highlight is the ability to show or hide subscription options for items in the Shop. To control this once again use the settings tab and select Subscriptions

By default products will have subscriptions on/off based on what you have as your global subscription setting. On each Shop you can control wether subscription options will show for the products within the shop.

These products will then inherit any subscriptions plans associated with them in Shopify. We do allow for some additional bespoke customizations to subscription settings depending on your plan. Reach out to your Account Manager to see.

Additional bespoke Shop customizations

Inside the Shop settings you will see a few other customization options such as:

  • Custom variant combinations

  • Multipack configurations

  • Free gift-with purchase configurations

  • + more

The details required for these customizations can be submitted through the forms in the settings section and your Account Manager will be in touch. Don't see a customization option that would have a huge impact? Request it to your Account Manager.
