Connecting FERMAT and Google Tools

Learn how to connect your GA4 and Google Ads account to FERMAT to sync performance data.

FERMÀT has significantly enhanced its Google integration with a streamlined sync flow that provides real-time status visibility. In this article, we’ll explain how to connect your FERMÀT account to Google Ads, your GA4 Pixel, and Google Analytics.

Before continuing: To ensure FERMÀT works properly with Google Ads, you’ll need to connect FERMÀT to a subdomain of your primary brand domain. Learn more here.

Getting Started with Google Sync

Navigate to the Google integration through FERMAT's Settings panel.

Settings < Manage Integrations < Ad Platforms

  1. Scroll down to the Data Integrations section

  2. Click on Sync GA4 and Google Ads Performance data with FERMÀT

  3. A new tab will open, click Connect to Google

  4. Log in to your Google Analytics or Google Ads account.

  5. Click Continue to grant permissions to the FERMÀT Sync app.

  6. Then click Allow to enable syncing of your Google Analytics and Google Ads data

  7. To connect GA4 only, select Connect your GA4 account.

    ⚠️ You can connect GA4 only if you don’t use Google Ads.

  8. To connect both, select Connect your GA4 account and Connect your Google Ads account.

  9. Choose the GA4 property ID installed on your site and the time range for syncing performance data

  10. If connecting Google Ads, enter your Customer ID. You can hover over the “i” icon for step-by-step instructions.

  11. Once you’ve selected your GA4 property and/or entered your Google Ads Customer ID, click Sync Account

Status Definitions

Setup Complete: appears after you select the property.

Sync in Progress: shows while syncing.

Connected: both GA4 and Google Ads are synced.

Partially Connected: only one is synced — hover over the “i” icon to see which.

Disconnected: one or both are disconnected — repeat setup to reconnect.

FERMÀT only syncs high-level performance data (traffic, conversions, ad performance, sessions), never personal or user data.


GA Pixel and Conversion Goals

To enable FERMÀT to track conversions, add your Google Analytics or Google Ads ID in the Platform Settings of FERMÀT.

Navigate to Settings > Manage Pixels

Important: If you use different identifiers for Google Analytics and Google Ads, please inform our team and provide the Ads-specific identifier.

Google Analytics Access

Granting the FERMÀT access to your Google Analytics ensures we can monitor performance and recommend the right optimizations for your setup.

Here's how to invite FERMÀT to your GA account:

  1. Login to Google Analytics

  2. Go to Admin in your primary property

  3. Click Property Access Management

  4. Click the plus (+) icon to add a user

  5. Enter the email: [email protected]

  6. Click Add
