This guide will walk you through how to use the Links section in FERMÀT — including how to generate, manage, and split test Forever Links to support personalized shopping journeys and campaign performance.

Links in FERMÀT

Forever Links in FERMÀT are persistent, shareable URLs that route traffic to a specific Shop. These links never expire, making them ideal for use in ads, emails, and other campaigns. Each link can point to one or more destinations, with optional routing logic for split testing.

Once generated, a Forever Link can be used across any platform. When clicked, users are routed directly to the destination Shop or PDP (product detail page) within FERMÀT.

Tip: You can have multiple Forever Links pointing to the same Shop.

Creating a Forever Link

  1. Go to Links in the left-hand nav.

  2. Click Create New URL.

  3. Optionally add a Link Title to help identify it internally.

  4. Choose the destination Shop you want the link to point to.

  5. (Optional) Add a custom URL slug to make the link easier to recognize or share.

  6. Click Generate URL.

Editing a Link and Routing Traffic

Forever Links support advanced routing logic, so you can send traffic to multiple destinations with defined percentages. This is useful for A/B testing funnels, offers, or product layouts.

To edit a Forever Link:

  1. Click the (⋯) next to the link in the list.

  2. Select Edit Link.

  3. Choose your Routing Type: Weight based split or Geography based split

  4. Add one or more destinations and define the traffic split % for each.

  5. Save your changes.

  6. You can come back and update traffic splits at any time.

Important: Archiving any URL will hide it from your list. Contact support if you need to unarchive it.

Tip: If a PDP link is used instead of a Shop-level Forever Link, attribution will still work. However, conversions will be tied to the original link the PDP URL was copied from.
