Instead of stacking every product on one long page, you can create organized, easy-to-navigate categories that improve product discovery and conversions.


Why Use Categorized Product Grids?

This feature helps simplify product discovery, keep your landing pages clean, and boost conversion rates by making it easier for customers to find what they’re looking for. This helps you effectively merchandise shops with larger product catalogs. You can experiment with categories to help customers discover new products without stacking sections since an increased page length past the fold leads to lower conversions.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Go to Your Fermat Shop Editor

    • Navigate to the page where you want to add a Product Grid.

  2. Enable Categorized View

    • Click on the Product Grid settings and select the “Categorized” option.

  3. Define Your Categories

    • Click 'Add a category' to organize products into relevant groups e.g., Men’s vs. Women’s, Tops vs. Bottoms, Colorways, or Collections.

  4. Save & Preview

    • Check how the grid looks on both desktop and mobile to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

  5. Test & Optimize

    • Experiment with different category groupings to test different merchandising strategies to see what drives more engagement and conversions.
